This ambitious space is a partnership with the Harbourfront Centre: a cultural centre that’s served the community since the 1970s. Boxcar is proud to continue the work the Harbourfront Centre started in reinvigorating Toronto’s waterfront. The venue is multi-purpose and remarkably versatile. Both its spacious interior and expansive outdoor patio are easily adaptable to any event, including weddings, panels, corporate events, and concerts. Boxcar Social Harbourfront can accommodate up to two-hundred fifty guests for cocktail-style events, or up to one hundred twenty, plus for seated dinners, We are a fully accessible space.

Exclusive use of the indoor and patio spaces, with ample time for set-up and tear-down as outlined in your rental contract.
Included with your rental is the use of our restaurant furnishings: picnic tables, benches, high tops, stools and single seat chairs. Boxcar Harbourfront is designed to promote a communal environment, making it the ideal location for your friends, family, and colleagues to come together. Our picnic benches can seat up to ten guests, and some or all of the furniture can be removed if you prefer. Removal of the furniture may come at an additional cost. Furniture may be removed for a fee. String lights available for rent.
Standard bar staffing will be included on the day of your special event. Your event manager will assist through the entire process, and ensure the on-site team is fully prepared to deliver a flawless experience.
